Our founder fell in love with movement in her early 20s—first barre, then Pilates—and built a community that continues to cheer one another on. What began as online classes in 2020 as “let’s move together” quickly became The Studio: a welcoming home for Pilates, strength, yoga, and recovery where every body belongs.

Kelsey found her love for yoga in college and later in life, incorporating weights and cardio into the mix. But was ultimately inspired by supportive instructors who fueled her passion in yoga, strength, and barre to become certified and teach. She encourages students to listen to their bodies—modifying when needed or pushing their limits to grow stronger and more confident. Kelsey’s goal is to empower her students in their health, fitness, and mental resilience!

After growing up with little to no athletic ability or interest, Betsey found her way into fitness through yoga. After years of yoga and barre classes, she tried a mat Pilates class and eventually found her way on to a reformer. From there, she was hooked. Betsey went on to earn her Reformer and Mat certification through The Mixed Method at her STL home studio. Coming from a contemporary background and pulling from her yoga roots, she aims to challenge not only the body, but also the mind.

Jennifer is an open-hearted teacher, and has an authentic, mindful, and compassionate teaching style. To her, yoga means cultivating a relationship between the body, the mind, and the breath. And in that cultivation, finding strength and peace. The ultimate goal for her is to leave students feeling refreshed and ready for the rest of the day

Kaitlyn is a senior at SEMO majoring in Business Administration. She obtained her Balanced Body Mat Certification in 2023 after falling in love with mat Pilates. Julie loves to help people find joy in movement by cultivating mindfulness and body awareness.
